Actress Shany Nadan was appointed as Ecuador’s Tourism Ambassador
On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, the Ecuadorian actress Shany Nadan was appointed as Ecuador’s Tourism Ambassador, by the Ministry of Tourism.
The actress, based in Colombia, traveled to Quito on Monday, September 18, 2019 and said she is honored to boost Ecuador’s crafts, talent and landscapes.

Nadan plays Manuela Sáenz, in the Netflix TV show, which will premiere soon on the Colombian national television.
Through her Instagram account, Nadan frequently shares the work of Ecuadorian designers, who send her earrings, coats and hats.
During her visit to Ecuador, she was also at the Carondelet Palace, where she spoke with President Lenín Moreno and Vice President Otto Sonnenholzner. Nadan gave Moreno a hat worn during the filming of Bolívar by her character.
During the last two years the Ministry of Tourism has given this recognition to Mirella Cesa, for winning a Silver Seagull in Viña del Mar; Dominic Barona for being one of the best surfers in the country, for obtaining the WQS 1 000 title of Mar del Plata, in Argentina.
This year the award was given to Richard Carapaz, for his participation in the Tour of Italy.
The American diplomat Todd Chapman was also recognized, after finishing his duties in the country; to the pianist and composer Juan Castro as “recognition for the video clip of his song Isabella, which was filmed in the Mangahurco area during the flowering of the Guayacanes.”
In 2017, Nicky Jam was delivered for the promotion he gave the country in his video “If you see her”.
The designation is understood as a “commitment so that wherever they go they speak well of our country, of how wonderful our Ecuador is,” said an official of the State portfolio.
