Afro organization joins pronouncements on Land Law
Social organizations in the country have spoken against the debate of Land Law and 10 days before the call for legislative Pre Consultation takes place
The morning of Tuesday, February 24 the president of the Afro-Ecuadorian Revolutionary Alliance, Daniel Cañola, requested that in the Rural Land and Ancestral Domain Law, the democratization of land in the country becomes effective.
This has been a request that has also been made by indigenous organizations such as the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE), which also have requested access to land for farmers without resources.
They request the elimination of large estates and the redistribution of land in favor of peasants, small and medium farmers, municipalities and Afro-descendant communities.
