The bazillionth attempt. Vice President Jorge Glas went to the Prosecutor Office to restore his honor. Days before he had passed through the Legislature, his appearances, especially in radio stations, are now frequent.
The official was summoned to give his version in the Odebrecht case. Although dozens of sympathizers were waiting for him at the front door, Glas entered through the garage.
Among those who awaited him on the street was the former Legislator of La Concertación César Montúfar, who took 25 questions for Glas.
He could not enter the Public Prosecutor’s Office. He waited almost an hour and when leaving the premises, blows, verbal and physical aggressions burst on him. A punch in his back made him fall to the floor. The police had to protect Montufar from the assaults of PAIS supporters, who threw stones, sticks, water, garbage, and soil from the planters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Glas is allegedly involved in the Odebrecht case by being in charge of the strategic sectors of the country that contracted services from the Brazilian company, moreover, his name appears in some documents that refer to him as one of the bribed officials who received millionaire payments from the company in exchange for public works.
