Alfonso Cuaron won last night the award for Best Director at the Oscars for his film Gravity.
The film, a story of astronauts who are adrift in space, won seven awards (visual effects, sound mixing, sound editing, cinematography, editing, music). Emmanuel Lubezki, who had been nominated in five previous occasions, also won an award for photography on the tape.
“It was a transformative experience … made them a lot wiser, It pulled out my gray hair,” joked.
Cuarón dedicated the award to his eldest son Jonah who wrote the film with him.
Thus, the Mexican director has closed in overwhelming form the passage through the awards season.
