On Thursday night, during the broadcast of newscast `Televistazo’, Ecuadorian news anchor Alfonso Espinosa de los Monteros, received the mention Guinness Record for being the ‘News broadcaster with the longest career in the world’.

47 years and 83 days (registered until May 22, 2014) was the record beaten by Espinosa de los Monteros, who received a standing ovation from his family and colleaguesfrom the Ecuavisa channel, in which he has worked without interruption. Don `Alfonso’, as his colleagues affectionately call him, set a trend in social networks with the hashtag #DonAlfonsoGuiness.
