Alianza PAIS block would join objections to the Biess Law submitted by the Executive

Assemblymen of the ruling party block of Alianza PAIS (AP) do not rule out to acquiesce to the two objections raised by the Executive in the veto to the Reformatory Law that attempts to transfer more than 50 closed complementary pension funds to the Bank’s management of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (Biess).

The President of the Commission of Workers Rights, Betty Carrillo (AP) said that there are two matters of form; while her leer and member of the Commission, Fausto Cayambe (AP), said that one was a matter of form and the another technique.

The first objection contained in the document distributed by the Assembly on Thursday makes a change of numerals in the powers of the board of Biess, because the assembly had repeated one.

Among the powers this financial institution would have is to propose to the Board of IESS a draft amendment to the Biess Law and make the necessary adjustments to actuarial studies for the implementation of supplementary retirement benefits that are agreed in each fund.
