Alianza Pais Ethics Committee suspended José Serrano two months for audio

Posted On 21 May 2018

Ecuadornews:

The former president of the National Assembly and Assemblyman for Alianza PAIS, José Serrano, received a slight reprimand from the Alianza Pais Ethics Committee. This was confirmed by Mary Verduga, coordinator of the committee.

The decision was based on the audio that was leaked by ex-District Attorney Carlos Baca. In this, Serrano had a conversation with the fugitive former comptroller Carlos Polit to seek “get off the Prosecutor.”

According to the Movement’s Code of Ethics, in its article 11, minor faults can produce a written warning or suspension of the rights of the permanent adherent for a maximum period of six months. (I)
