Alvaro Noboa invited President Correa to debate
At a press conference, businessman Alvaro Noboa invited the Head of State, Rafael Correa, to debate with him in other languages.
Noboa showed to the media his report card of the San Jose La Salle School, claiming to be an excellent student and graduating with outstanding grades. “I also studied in Europe, in Switzerland, I also studied in New York at the American Management Association.”
“C’est pour ça très bien que je parle le français, parce que j’ai Etudie in Suisse pendant quatre ans. (That’s why I speak French very well, because I studied in Switzerland for four years), Noboa said in French. “I also speak fluent English and that´s why I would like to have a debate with you in English, to show you my level of education, my level of knowledge of the language, so I invite you to do that.”
Noboa said that his intention is that Ecuadorians distinguish and ratify the knowledge and skills between Correa and him. “I´ve just invited economist Correa to debate with me in English, to see if he was an outstanding student as I was, if he learned English and French as he should have learned so we can demonstrate to the country who is smart and who is the donkey.”
With regard to the announcement the Interior Minister, Jose Serrano, made yesterday, of sueing criminally Noboa for publications related to drug trafficking in the country, Noboa congratulated the members of the National Police for their work in fighting drug trafficking, despite the inequality they´re experiencing by not having all the necessary tools for this hard work.
