América Móvil announces investment for $ 450 million in Ecuador

Mexican mobile phone company América Móvil announced plans to invest in Ecuador in the next three years to expand its coverage and provide state-of-the-art services.

The Mexican firm, whose largest shareholder and founder is Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim, is one of three telephone companies in Ecuador, along with Spain’s Telefónica (Movistar) and Ecuador’s state-owned CNT. (I)
