“American Hustle” wins the biggest prize at the SAG
Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club,) Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine) and the cast of American Hustle were the big winners of the awards from Screen Actors Guild (SAG), held on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Members of “American Hustle” as Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are also nominated to the Oscar by the film directed by David O. Russell.
Cooper accepted the top award of the event on behalf of the cast and upon Russell mentioned that “it is an actor’s director, is the personification of that (…) Asks a lot of us, but if we respond, we are returned lot.”
For its part Cate Blanchett jokingly thanked those who voted for her and wished “better luck” that they did not next year. Blanchett interpreted a bourgeois coming less in the film Blue Jasmine directed by Woody Allen.
With the Academy Awards to be held on March 2 will culminate the Hollywood awards season. American Hustle, Gravity and 12 years of slavery are the favorite to win the award.
