AP achieved 38.7% of dignities in past elections
According to statistics of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) with 98% of processed information, in the last sectional elections of February 23, the ruling movement Alianza PAIS won 38.7% of political representation, followed by Avanza, with 13,9%; Pachakutik, with 9.3%; CREO, 6.8%; and SUMA, with 5.1%. All other organizations reached less than 5%.
So AP managed to get 2,163 positions: 10 prefects and viceprefects, 68 mayors, 344 municipal councilors, 183 rural councilors and 1,558 members of parish councils.
In total, 5,651 officials were elected nationwide: 46 prefects and viceprefects; 221 mayors; 867 municipal councilors; 438 rural councilors; and 4,079 members of parish councils.
There are still missing results from 7 of the 24 Ecuadorian provinces, due to appeals in the Electoral Dispute Tribunal (TCE for its Spanish acronym).
