Arab Women are Protagonists in the Arab Revolts
The women of Middle Eastern countries have become the centre of popular demonstrations against regimes. Such actions demystify many stereotypes of women, who now are a signal of hope since they are the organizers for new revolutions.
They go out into the streets dressed in black or with jeans, thousands of women participated in Tunisia, Cairo, Manama or Sana. In the city of Bahrain they attended demonstrations with traditional dresses. And as a group they appeared as a black mass that freely talked to the media present.
Now the women march to overthrow the government of Yemen, these statements were made against the president Ali Abdula Saleh. Many of them have also taken their fight through the internet to start with videos and blogs with pictures.
