Argentina requests to the OAS “urgent solutions” for the case of hedge funds
Posted On 04 Jul 2014
Argentina calls for “urgent solutions” and not just statements to reach an agreement on the legal battle for hedge funds and avoid a default, said yesterday the Economy Minister Axel Kicillof to the OAS.
“Urgent solutions are needed, not just statements. International organisms need to act”, Kicillof said at the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the OAS.
“There is a problem of terms, we are in a time when Argentina has 28 days to avoid a default”, he said. To Kicillof, “this is crazy because Argentina has the resources to pay” to the creditors of its debt restructured in 2005 and 2010.
