Arrested Fans will repair damages at the Monumental Stadium
Hector Vanegas, attorney of Barcelona Sporting Club, met yesterday morning with the families of the 26 fans arrested after looting the Monumental stadium on Wednesday November 28.
Vanegas reached an agreement with the family that submits the arrested to sign a reparation agreement so the process against them, for the crime of breaking and entering, could be filed.
In the agreement the responsible ones should meet certain conditions stipulated by the club in order to repair the damage. The list of clauses establishes that the accused cannot enter the stadium of Barcelona for a year, they must perform community service for the same period and will have to pay for all the damages.
Relatives of the accused agreed to the proposal of the club and ensured that the conditions will be rigorously fulfilled so that the process cannot be reactivated.
“Our intention is not to put someone in jail for nine years. The club does not want to carry that cross. The sanction must be proportionate to the crime,” said Vanegas.
