Attempts to prosecute Glas advance

Political responsibility. That is the main reason for the opposition to initiate the request of impeachment against vice-president Jorge Glas.
The CREO-SUMA bloc is determined to bring the accused to the dock because they assure there are proven cases of “corruption in the strategic sectors that were controlled by Glas,” explained Roberto Gómez, head of that party.
This coalition already has the required documentation and this week will collect the signatures to submit the request for interpellation of Glas.
However, the biggest obstacle is not collecting these signatures. The Legislative Council of Administration (CAL), conformed by the parliamentary majority, will have to verify the fulfillment of the requirements.
The Citizen Participation Commission requested his appearance to report on the facts investigated in the Odebrecht case and to collaborate with its “clarification”
The date for this invitation is June 21 of this year. “The vice president must explain his responsibility in the management of strategic sectors,” says the commission document.
However, the vice president did not answer and in his office did not even want to receive the call. (I)
