José Santos, an executive of Odebrecht in Ecuador, has used as evidence videos made by him of meetings with Ecuadorian authorities, as revealed by the magazine Veja, one of the most prestigious in Brazil.
As a reward for his collaboration in the trial against him in Brazil, Santos has received the smallest penalty among the 77 informers in the Odebrecht case, as reported by Veja.
Santos held the position of “Superintendent-Director” of Odebrecht in Ecuador and lived for 16 years in the country. He directed the construction of the Ruta Viva and Manduriacu hydroelectric plant, the Daule Vinces bunkering, the Pascuales Cuenca pipeline and La Esperanza aqueduct. (I)
