Beneficiaries of Efficient Cooking plan will have to register in web page

The subsidy for the use of induction kitchens will begin in August. Registration for beneficiaries will be through a web page and the opening date will coincide with the the beginning of the stoves distribution, according to Vladirmir Gonzales, Manager of the state plan Efficient Cooking.

Gonzales explained that after enrolling, “the web page makes consultation with the commercial database of the (electric) companies and indicates (the progress) through the supply number.”

He added that if the user has not a 220 volts connection (needed for the kitchens), an installation work order will be generated, after that, the purchase of the kitchen will be done at any store.

“The citizen will go there (the store) and then acquire the kitchen, the user will become an online creditor to the state funding …, no request needed,” he said.

Besides the thirteen companies that participated in the Fridge Renewal Plan and submitted its proposals on May 9, in order to manufacture kitchens, they must meet another requirements in early July. They must also submit a quality certificate accredited by the Ecuadorian Standardization Institute, explained Mario Espinosa, Ecasa Manager .
