Biess adds more real estate companies to its new system

Posted On 22 May 2014

inmobiliariasTo the 16 real estate companies that made agreements last Tuesday with the Bank of IESS ( Biess ) in Quito, joined companies fromGuayaquil, Durán, Portoviejo and Manta. These new companies will take care of the legal formalities of mortgage loans, indicated yesterday Eduardo Moreno, Manager of the institution.

Moreno mentioned that among the new real estate companies that join this group, there are companies with huge projects, so signing an agreement with them would represent a coverage of about a 70 % of mortgage demands.

He also noted that the Biess is evaluating new ways to speed up disbursing money processes.

Jaime Rumbea, Director of the Housing Developers Association of Ecuador, said that the possibility to achieve the process is positive and real estate companies are waiting for Biess training to start doing the paperwork .

Eduardo Crespo, Ferroinmobiliaria representative, one of the accredited institutions to do the paperwork, said that the process will be developed by the legal department of the company.
