BlackBerry seeks alternatives to compete in the market
To broaden its base of users, BlackBerry Ltd will make available its tool of BBM messaging to Windows Phone from Microsoft and Nokia X platforms.
Likewise the automaker Ford Co plans to build the next generation of Sync platform in the QNX operating system of BlackBerry and abandon Windows for Microsoft Corp, which helped the shares of the Canadian company to climb to 8 percent.
The titles of BlackBerry climbed 8.55% 9,92 dollars on the New York Nasdaq index following news. Its shares listed in Toronto were advancing 0.83% to 11 Canadian dollars.
These new projects are trying to boost the company,after that their advanced phones lost market against to Apple’s iPhone and other devices, underpinned by the Google Android platform.
Also the company based in Waterloo, Ontario, opened the service platforms to Android and iOs at the end of last year, increasing the number of users to more than 80 million.
