Campozano adds the First Point in Davis Cup

Today the Ecuadorian tennis player, Julio Campozano (No. 406 ATP) opened the Davis Cup after defeating the Colombian Roberto Farah (235 ATP) 7-6, 6-4, 6-2.

So far, the Ecuadorian team has the advantage (1-0) at the start of the series to remain in Group 1 of the American Zone of Davis Cup to be played in the clay courts of the Salinas Golf & Tennis Club.

The second hour of the day is planned for a match between the Ecuadorian Ivan Endara and the Colombian visitor, Santiago Giraldo.

Tomorrow would be the doubles between local Endara and Campozano vs. Colombian, Cabal and Giraldo. On Sunday, for closing the series Campozano will face Giraldo, while Endara would play against Farah.
