Vatican appointed Ecuadorian Bishop Marco Perez Caicedo

This morning, the Holy Branch press office reported that the Ecuadorian Monsignor Marco Caicedo Perez was appointed as Bishop of Babahoyo, Ecuador by Pope Benedict XVI.

Perez was named titular bishop of Maastricht, Netherlands and auxiliary of the Archdiocese of Guayaquil on last year June 10, 2006 and was ordained as bishop on the next July 22.

Currently, he is a member of the Government Council of Goods and the Commission for the Laity of the Episcopal Conference of Ecuador.
