Posted On 02 Apr 2013

At the gates of the presidential elections of April 14 and along with thousands of Venezuelans related to his ideals, the opposition candidate and leader of the Democratic Table, Henrique Capriles, met in Caracas and participated in a Walk Against Insecurity, reality which, according to him, is the main problem of Venezuela.

Capriles traveled a long avenue before heading to hundreds of thousands of people who accompanied him to the Altamira Square in the east of the capital.

“Tomorrow (today) starts a new crusade for the future, and there is not a single proposal from this government to defeat violence and give peace to Venezuelans (…) We have a commitment to life and security of all you, “Capriles said in his speech.

The walk took place simultaneously in 19 cities of Venezuela, and was organized by the opposition group Simon Bolivar to protest against violence and to “restore a country where we can walk at night.”

“This is the country we want to build, where we all walk without fear. God has placed us an opportunity to choose between life and death, between peace and violence,” concluded Capriles, who also invited thousands of Venezuelans to an activity in the Bolivar avenue in Caracas on next Sunday.
