Spanish singer Julio Iglesias received yesterday in Beijing an award as the Guinness Records Latin artist who has sold more albums in the world.
Iglesias received the prestigious award from Chinese pianist Lang Lang, who also awarded the singer as the artist who has sold more albums in China.
“Receiving the award of Lang Lang, such a big artist, is something that I never imagined in my life. I am delighted, because I love so much this country,” said the Spanish singer.
With this recognition, Iglesias, who was accompanied by his wife and children, will begin its concert tour in Asia, starting with China, where he will give three concerts in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing.
At nearly 70 years and with over 300 million albums sold, Julio Iglesias made it clear that he will continue to play live on stage.
