Career of actor Steve Martin will be honored with award

The actor, author, comedian, producer and musician Steve Martin American will be honored for lifetime achievement by the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI), as announced today in Los Angeles the president of the company, Howard Stringer.
Among those honored with this award include Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood, Kirk and Michael Douglas and Tom Hanks.
Martin, 69, will receive the 43 “Life Achievement Award” in June 2015.
The actor of “The Pink Panther” was honored last year with an honorary Oscar for his work. To his credit also features Emmy and Grammy awards.
Throughout his career, he shot over 30 films, including “The Jerk”, “The Man With Two Brains,” “Dead Men Do not Wear Plaid”, “Roxanne” and “LA Story.”
