Cargo ship “La Floreana” ran aground in the Galapagos Islands

The cargo ship ‘La Floreana’ ran aground early today in front of Puerto Ayora, in the Bahía Naufragio locality, at Galapagos Islands, said the Armed Forces through their twitter account.

The boat carrying groceries, gas cylinders, tanks with various products, cars and even a fiber boat sailed to the island of Santa Cruz.

From the Superintendency of Oil Terminals of Balao, in Esmeraldas, two tugs were immediately mobilized to assist the ship’s departure.
