Casa Tosi employees received their salaries

The Salaries for the last two weeks of March,of the 250 employees of Casa Tosi, the store that closed last Tuesday, were already accredited. So reported the administrator, Cesar Garcia, who spoke with dozens of workers who asked information at 10:00 yesterday.Regarding the liquidations, Garcia explained that the Ministry of Labour Relations should review the information to then approve the amounts to be liquidated. According to Garcia, the 10% of the employees will not be liquidated yet because it is necessary to check the inventory of goods, which will be sold or finished off, in a process that will take some days.
In addition, he said, the Casa Tosi store located at Policentro Shopping Center would be opne to liquidate the products that were in the three stores of Guayaquil and Quito, but the reopening date is not yet defined.
Casa Tosi records liabilities (debts) hidden by about $12 million with the Territorial Bank, which was described by the Superintendent of banks, Pedro Solines, as “a harmful relationship between two poorly shared business”.
