CC will analyze suits against Communications Law
The plenary of the Constitutional Court (CC) will continue today, September 9, with the analysis of the claims of unconstitutionality against the Organic Communications Law (LOC for its Spanish acronym). The process has taken more than a year and possibly this week it has a fault.
The magistrates of the Court will discuss their observations after they came together in privacy on August 20, to analyze the 280 sheets report of Judge María del Carmen Maldonado. This document serves as a basis for deliberations.
The Jurist said that after the analysis and debate, the adoption of the report could be performed once the plenary, composed of 9 main Judges, do the respective voting.
3 actions, 3 passive legitimization, and about 8 amicus curiae (friend of the court) are the clips presented on the merits and the shape of the LOC, a norm that is in force since June 25, 2013.
