Chavez Expresses his Contempt Over the Expelling of Acosta
Posted On 10 Jan 2012
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said the decision of the United States to expel Livia Acosta, the Venezuelan consul in Miami, was “unfair and arbitrary”. Chavez once again assured that this is a demonstration of the “prepotency of the ridiculous empire.”
The United States announced that the expelling of the consul occurred after she was involved in a documentary regarding a supposed Iranian plot against the nuclear facilities of USA.
Legislators and representatives of the Venezuelan community in the south of Florida demanded a serious investigation of the diplomatic members of Chavez. Some legislators fear Acosta may be the “tip of the iceberg.” (AV)
