CNE denies registration of “Partido Revolución Ciudadana”, Correa’s new party
Ecuadornews:
The Plenary of the National Electoral Council (CNE) denied today’s registration of the new political movement, “Partido Revolución Ciudadana” (RC), by not giving it the access code for the collection of signatures to those who are part of this new political party.
The CNE argued that the “Partido Revolución Ciudadana” failed to comply with the “article 11 of the regulation for the registration of organizations and social movements”, which states that it is prohibited to use logos of satellite movements, which already exist, or public bodies, reports El Universo .
Paúl Salazar, electoral counselor, through his Twitter account mentioned that he refused the “handing over of code to the computer system for collection of signatures of registration and registration of the Partido Revolución Ciudadana with scope of national action, for legal and regulatory breaches.”
“Partido Revolución Ciudadana”, is the new political movement that was born after several leaders of Alianza País, including Rafael Correa and Gabriela Rivadeneira, have disaffiliated from the pro-government movement, after knowing that the Electoral Contentious Court gave the address of the party to the wing ‘ morenista ‘.
