Commission of Sovereignty, International Affairs and Security Integral will analyze Dhruv case
The Commission of Sovereignty, International Affairs and Global Security will be responsible for analyzing the contractual and pre-contractual processes of the seven Dhruv helicopters that were purchased from a company in India in 2008 for $ 45 million, of which four have crashed, two of them last January.
This decision was taken today by the Council on Legislative Administration (CAL). This was announced by the president of the National Assembly, Gabriela Rivadeneira (AP), in a press conference where she said that the death of General Jorge Gabela will not be part of this investigation.
On the other hand, through his Twitter account, the Deputy President of the Legislative branch, Marcela Aguinaga, wrote that the analysis of the Dhruv case “involves consolidating pre-contractual and contractual information about the helicopters and their developments in operation.”
