Cordicom held its first debate on regulation of defenders of audiences
The Council for the Regulation and Development of Information and Communication (Cordicom for its Spanish acronym) met yesterday in the Blue Room of the University of Guayaquil, to analyze two regulations.
According to the schedule, the regulations for children advertising and the defenders of the audiences were discussed.
Patricio Barriga, President of the Cordicom said: “We have assumed that responsibility. It is needed to clarify details of the audience defenders, such as employment details, the salary they can perceive and the causes to cease their functions. There are topics that will be discussed”.
Preliminarily it was indicated that defenders would receive a salary of $ 2,500 and 61 people would be the audience defenders, one for each media, considered as national.
This session was attended by the counselors Tamara Merizalde, Hernán Reyes, Paulina Mogrovejo and Marco Bravo.
