The PSP will start the process for a referendum
Posted On 29 Oct 2014
The Patriotic Society Party (PSP) will ask today to the National Electoral Council (CNE) the forms to start collecting signatures, to call a referendum. The purpose of this consultation would be to prevent the indefinite reelection of the President.
The topics the PSP expects to ask in the consultation are: to prevent the use of public resources for campaigns, the indefinite reelection and that the electoral authority be appointed in a pluralistic and impartial way.
The collection of signatures will have to reach to 8% of the electoral roll to take the proposal to the polls.
