Correa needs umbrella to protect himself from aggression with eggs in Esmeraldas

Former President Rafael Correa has needed to protect himself with an umbrella of aggression with eggs and tomatoes thrown at him while giving a speech in Borbón, Esmeraldas province. Similar aggressions have been received in San Lorenzo and Eloy Alfaro. Correístas Twitterers have blamed the Popular Unity militants (the former MPD, which was outlawed by Correa during his presidency).

Shortly after the attack, the Prefecto de Esmeraldas, Lucia Sosa, from the ranks of Unidad Popular, has tweeted: “This is how the Esmeraldeños demonstrated their rejection, repudiation of Correa’s  corruption, which caused so much damage to the country and to Esmeraldas. With eggs, yes with eggs, the province says outside “Correa Fuera. ”

Correa also has not been able to give an interview on Las Palmas TV, in Esmeraldas. According to his version, “they took him out of the air, they cut off the transmitters”. “We are worse than in dictatorship,” he complained on Twitter. (I)
