Court condemns 6 Former Agents of the Pinochet Army

The Court of Appeals of Santiago de Chile ratified yesterday the prison sentence of 6 former secret police Agents of Augusto Pinochet, for the kidnapping of two opponents to the dictatorship in 1974, judicial sources said.

The judgment of the first instance was issued on May 27, 2010, which ruled a conviction of 2 penalties of 10 years and 1 day in prison, one for each victim, to Former Army Colonels Marcelo Moren Brito and César Manriquez Bravo.

While a sentence of 10 years and 1 one day was given to retired General Hernán Ramírez Hald, Former Colonel Manuel Carevic Cubillos, Former Mayor Urrich Gerardo Gonzalez and Former Colonel Haroldo Latorre Sánchez.
