Current president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, asserted that there is no chance to run as a political candidate  after completing her second and final term.

The confusion came after the government deputy Carlos Kunkel declared last Wednesday that Fernandez “will continue in politics and will be a candidate” at the end of her second term.

“The thing is that Carlos cares about me”, said Cristina, “(…) but there is no possibility for a Cristina in 2015 in any elective office,” she added.

The widow of Nestor Kirchner, former president of Argentina, was elected in 2007 and reelected in 2011. Currently, her government has deteriorated  by a downturn in the economy and will hand over power to a successor in 2015.
