Yesterday, Argentina’s president resumed to her duties after her mandatory rest due to the surgery to remove a cranial hematoma. The President recorded a casual video where she greets, thanks and shares some of the gifts she received during her medical leave.
Cristina thanked the medical staff and assistants, also Argentine citizens, the world who prayed for her recovery, and those who left messages of support and solidarity through letters, flowers, gifts or messages via social networks.
At minute 6.54, almost at the end of the recording, the president of Argentina leaves the scene and re-enter with a dog in her arms. Fernandez presented the puppy saying it was the gift promised by Hugo Chavez, former gobernante of Venezuela; the dog’s name is “Simon” and was delivered to Fernandez by the brother of Hugo Chavez.
Nestor Kirchner’s widow explained that it was the national dog of Venezuela declared so since 1964, for having accompanied the Liberator Simon Bolivar in his battles, until his death in Carabobo.
