Crude oil production in Ecuador increased
According to the audited data the oil production in Ecuador, in 2013 closed with an increase of 3.5%, compared to 2012, the best result registered by the present government in its seven years managing the country.
In the period 2007-2009, oil production fell 9%, but a year later the fell was controlled. In 2011, the oil production began to recover, improving its price, but did not reach the volumes achieved in 2006.
As published by the Agency for Regulation of Oil Control on its website, last year ended with190.3 million of extracted barrels, which represents about 6.5 million more than the previous year.
Osvaldo Madrid, Petroamazonas manager, said that in late 2013 this public company had planned to close the year with a daily production of 325,000 barrels. The increase in the production of Petroamazonas was achieved with an investment of around USD 2600 million, this year will rise to USD 3600 million.
