Cuenca will feature new tram system in 2014

The Town Hall of Cuenca has scheduled to start the work of the first tram system in this city in October of this year.

Paul Andrade, Azuay City Mayor announced that there are still a few details to complete the studies. Also, Andrade said that this tram will place Cuenca at the forefront of Latin America in terms of public land transport.

This tram will have a tour of 22km of travel and transportation is estimated that over 106,000 people per day. The $ 230 million work is estimated to be completed in 2014.
