On the occasion of his 79th birthday, last Sunday in northern India, the Dalai Lama gave a speech to thousands of followers in which he admonished the Buddhists of Sri Lanka and Burma to end violence against Muslims, something he considers an unacceptable act.
“I urge the Buddhists in these countries to imagine an image of Buddha before they commit such a crime,” said His Holiness the Dalai Lama fourteenth, who showed appalled by the attacks from Sunni against their Muslim co-religionists.
