Daniel Noboa seeks investment and financial support for Ecuador, in the United States
The elected president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa Azin, and his work team began a series of meetings in the United States to attract investment, financial support and increase the country’s foreign trade.

The ministers appointed by Daniel Noboa accompany him in the work carried out by the president-elect on North American soil.
Noboa arrived in the United States on the afternoon of Saturday, November 4, 2023, after a tour of Europe where he obtained the support of investors, businessmen and governments on economic issues, investments and support for security and education.
On North American soil, the President and his team made up of designated ministers Sonsoles Garcia, Gabriela Sommerfeld, Iván Carmigniani and collaborators Sade Fritschi, Juan José Reyes, Sariha Moya, Arturo Felix, Cynthia Gellibert, and Katherine Gafter, as well as ambassador Ivonne Baki, met with representatives of Ecuador before the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to learn about the status of the country’s relations with these organizations.
On Sunday, November 5, 2023, the Ecuadorian delegation’s day began with a meeting with Carlos Felipe Jaramillo, vice president of the World Bank for the Latin American and Caribbean region. Jaramillo is in charge of overseeing relationships with 31 countries and an ongoing portfolio of projects, technical assistance and grants close to USD 32 billion.
After the meeting, with the director of the World Bank, the President-Elect’s work team held a working meeting with the directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), at the organization’s headquarters.
Attending the meeting with the delegates of the incoming government were Rodrigo Valdés, Director of the Western Hemisphere Department of the IMF; James Morsink, outgoing Deputy Director; Ana Corbacho, incoming Deputy Director and Joe Chensavasdijai, Head of Mission for Ecuador.
Subsequently, Noboa Azin and his delegation had a meeting with the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro.
At night, a reception is planned for the elected Ecuadorian Head of State and his entourage, senior officials of the Government and the US Parliament. Meetings with investors, Chambers of Commerce, investment banks and businessmen are scheduled for the following days.
