Posted On 15 Jan 2015

manga_del_cura_Within the process of setting boundaries between provinces or cantons, the Presidency of the Republic, through its legal adviser Alexis Mera requested to the National Committee of Internal Limits (Conali) a technical-legal and social report of the Manga del Cura zone, disputed between Manabi and Guayas. The deadline for the submission of this report would expire tomorrow.

Ignacio Mendoza, Director of the Commission on the Limits of the Province of Manabi, said that the order was issued on December 16, 2014 and the Conali has had 30 days to submit the report to the Presidency.

Furthermore, according to Mendoza, the idea of resolving this conflict by a query is an exclusive power of the President.
