Disney employees arrested for sex crimes
Since 2006, 35 employees of Walt Diney World in Orlando, Florida, have been arrested for committing sexual offenses related to the possession of child pornography and attempted sexual abuse of minors, but in any case, according to CNN, against children who visit the amusement park.
Many of the employees have been arrested for downloading Internet child pornography videos. According to a statement to CNN by Disney spokesman Jacquee Wahler: “Providing a safe environment for children and families is a responsibility we take very seriously,” regarding the staff the company hires.
Dennis Ross, Congressman from Florida, has proposed the use of the polygraph in companies to protect children from sexual predators, but this measure has been rejected by legislators, who believe that it violates the right to privacy and civil liberties.
