Duzac Did Not Gave his Testimony in Argentina
Last October 23, the prosecutor Maria Susana Rodriguez asked the Argentinean businessman Gaston Duzac, to show up in the Ecuadorian embassy to give his testimony about the investigation made about the COFIEC case, which investigates possible illegal activities in a loan.
The District Attorney Galo Chiriboga requested the declaration in the investigation that the office is performing about the irregular credit of $ 800 thousand that Gaston Duzac received from COFIEC bank. The Argentinean businessman had to present in the days 24 and 25 of October in the offices of the Embassy of Ecuador in Argentina, between 09:00 (GMT) till 17:00. However this did not occurred. For today was scheduled a hearing with Duzac’s attorney, Julio Plaza so that he gives his version about the facts.
So far the pay-note that Duzac left as guarantee has not been carried out, for this reason the bank is suing him and the judicial process continues its march. AV
