Ecuador and China look forward to promote the development of bilateral relations

On Wednesday, the President of China Xi Jinping met with his Ecuadorian counterpart Rafael Correa in Brasilia.

Xi Jinping said that both nations want to promote the development of bilateral relations, maintain high-level contacts and support on matters of mutual interest.

For his part, President Correa said that China shows respect in its contact with Ecuador, it helps it a lot in its economic development, oil refineries, funding of proposals and projects of basic industries.

President Xi stressed that it remains the support to the development of bilateral relations and hopes that Ecuador may have a positive impact in 2015, year in which it will preside the CELAC.
