Ecuador companies contributed with $ 2.7 million in cash

At least $ 2.7 million is what private companies have donated in cash so far for the victims of the earthquake that struck Manabi and Esmeraldas a month ago.

The figure is included in a preliminary report by the Coordinator Ministry of Production. Deputy Minister of the Department Santiago Leon, said: “It is worth noting the extraordinary support we have received from employers, since they not only made great and generous donations, but were willing to serve our affected brothers from the first minute, virtually 24 hours a day.”

Apart from the cash value, private companies also donated products to meet the basic needs of the victims, whose value has not yet been quantified.
