Ecuador Earthquake: The anguish for the missing people

Please help me I need to hear the news,” wrote yesterday Marcia Avila in social networks. She is looking for her husband, who on weekend traveled to Portoviejo and Jipijapa.
They are the relatives and friends of people who were in areas affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit several provinces and, now, are missing. Although there are no official figures, there are thousands of requests for information and help.
Until 16:30 yesterday, the website of the Ministry of Interior published 1,413 records of missing persons. A similar number was published by Google: 1,500 collaboration requests. The Red Cross also enabled a help system. In the morning, the international organization reported 97 search requests. Until that time, they had found 12 people.
The great allies in the search were social networks. Two hashtags put in evidence the general solidarity: #EncontradosEc (#FoundEc) and #DesaparecidosEc (#MissingEc) accumulated thousands of mentions on Twitter.
