Ecuador finished 2014 with an inflation of 3.67%

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC for its spanish acronym) said that Ecuador had an annual inflation of 3.67% in 2014, whereas in 2013 it was of 2.70%.
The division of food and non-alcoholic beverages would be the largest contributor to the monthly change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) with 27.74% of the total.
Esmeraldas had the highest monthly inflation with 0.60%, followed by Machala with 0.41%, while in Loja and Manta there was less inflation with -0.12 and -0.18%, respectively.
The monthly budget for basic commodities was at $ 646.30, while the monthly family income is $ 634.67.
