The Inter-American Court of Human Rights concluded that Ecuador fulfilled all measures imposed in a judgment issued five years ago by the arbitrary expropriation of a plot in Quito, the court announced Friday.
The Court closed and terminated the Salvador Chiriboga case against the State of Ecuador, after determining that the South American country paid compensations for expropriation, material and immaterial damages and reimbursement of expenses to the injured party, according a statement of the Court, based in San Jose.
The court also concluded that Ecuador paid to Maria Salvador Chiriboga an amount for property taxes and other taxes collected improperly.
