Until today midnight is allowed to campaign in pro and against the referendum to be held in Saturday.

Government party, Alianza PAIS, organized caravans in the coastal provinces of Manabi and Guayas, where President Rafael Correa sent messages in favor of the referendum and analyzed each of the 10 questions of the consultation.

The President ended his campaign last night in Guayaquil accompanied by Vice President Lenin Moreno; Norma Delgado, his mother; his sister Pierina, ministers and assembly members. Today he plans to visit Cuenca.

While yesterday in that city, several followers of the NO option in the referendum joined together. Among the opponents are PAIS dissidents and those who have departed because they consider that the referendum is diverted from the Montecristi aspirations.

About 8,000 people, led by Paul Carrasco walked from the Chola Cuencana monument to the San Sebastian Square, where a large platform was used by supporters of the Civic Front for Democracy, Democratic People’s Movement and others to close their campaign.

On the other hand, Alberto Acosta former president of the Constituent Assembly and Fernando Vega former Assemblyman, encouraged people to vote No in defense of the Constitution.
