The acquisition of 64 new medicines for the treatment of diseases such as cancer is part of the announcement made by the Government, while presenting the X Review and Update of the National Table of Basic Medicines (CNMB).
In total, the table contains 454 medications, presented in 641 pharmaceutical forms (syrups, pills, drops and others) and require an investment of $ 258 million.
Although these drugs have not yet been purchased by the Ministry of Health, the corresponding budget allocation already exists, after a joint analysis with the Ministry of Economy to begin the acquisition process, said the Minister of Health, Catalina Andramuño.
Of the 64 new medications included in this list, 18 are for cancer patients.
